Buildings - Post - Tensioning Slab
Apart from post-tensioning in infrastructure, PT technique also being widely used in buildings, which has many advantages over conventional RCC structure, such as:
- Better resistance to deflection & cracking
- Higher utilization of carpet area due to reduction in number of columns
- More headroom due to reduction in depth of the structural elements
- Faster installation & completion of work
- Reduction in steel quantity
- Architectural freedom to construct large column free spans
